The new Australian National
Standard for the Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods requires a
proactive approach to the management of hazardous chemicals and
Coral Sea Containers can provide that approach.
We are proud of our leading role in the design and construction
of “HazardStore” custom facilities for compliant storage
of a wide range of chemicals and other hazardous substances, including
Class 1 Explosives.
This has resulted in the construction of chemical stores and ammunition
stores to Australian Standards.

It is a requirement of current workplace and environmental legislation that
Hazardous Substances be stored in specifically prescribed and properly constructed
storage facilities.
Standard features of the Coral Sea Containers facilities include roof and
wall ventilation, bund, drainage valves, earth stake, MSDS holders, anchor
points and secure locking.
We can also offer a variety of optional features for installation including
shelving, decanting bench, static electricity dissipation for decanting flammables
and lighting, while Safety Cabinet storage facilities are also available
for various classes of Hazardous Substances.
Coral Sea Containers, with two qualified inspectors, are in a position to
be able to offer certification of compliance of our “HazardStores” to
the relevant Australian Standard.
The nature and quantity of our customer’s inventory will largely determine
the type of “HazardStore” that is required.
